I will accept this recommendation and will continue to promote the early introduction of terrain awareness and warning systems for Part135 aircraft consistent with the time frame established with the Ministry of Transport. It is anticipated that the Draft NPRM will be completed by September 2006. No precise time frame for final implementation can be stated as the date is dependant on the consultation process being completed.
