An Airworthiness Directive be issued in respect of the harness inertia reel assembly of the Hughes 369 Series helicopter outlining appropriate inspection and/or modification procedures (e.g. to reposition the shroud aperture within the reel, or relocate the complete unit) to ensure that the inertia reel assembly in existing and new helicopters of this type will not contribute to failure of the shoulder harness under impact loading.
