Tranz Rail intends to adopt safety recommendation 018/00. Careful consideration is being directed toward the need for procedures and supervision which take account of the competency and experience of staff employed in all safety critical areas to ensure effective quality control. One aspect of this will be the development of unit standards within the NZQA framework.
