Airways accepts the general principle that lessons learnt in incidents should be used as educational material as well as material useful in guiding process change designed to avoid repeats of similar incidents. The lessons learnt from the type of deficiencies identified in this incident have already been incorporated into some of our cyclical training programmes. Due to this recommendation being more in the nature of a principle or philosophy, rather than an action item, a proposed time for implementation is not relevant.
