MMS has, as a matter of policy, had a continuing review of its resources and no change is envisaged. As an outcome of these reviews the company has isolated those areas where sufficient resource is available and has restricted its operations to them. At no time has the company's policy been to be "all things to all people". For this reason, and whilst it wishes to expand and assist the MSA to bring vessels into safe ship management, it will do so only as it is able.
