I accept the recommendation. This information is currently provided on the passenger briefing cards carried in Air New Zealand, Ansett New Zealand, Mount Cook and Air Nelson aircraft. Checks are underway, via the audit process, to ensure that other operators are providing at least this minimum level of information. In the interim, a Temporary Procedure Notice will be included at Air Transport Division procedure manuals dealing with this subject.
