Historical impact reviews

Historical impact reviews are case studies of a specific area or occurrence type that the Transport Accident Investigation Commission has inquired into. The Commission conducts a review of a different area each year. As well as assessing the impact of the Commission’s inquiries, they look at the quality of the inquiries by reviewing the Commission’s findings and recommendations with the benefit of hindsight.  Historical impact reviews are one way in which the Commission assesses whether its work is helping improve transport safety in the medium-term.
